About the day
Join us for a fun-filled morning of games, friendly competitions, local vendors, livestock displays, and face painting for the kids. It’s a chance to connect, laugh, and enjoy everything that makes our community amazing before we head into the village for the parade and fireworks later in the day.
Bring the family, bring your neighbours — let’s celebrate Canada Day together.

What to Expect
A midweek market. Our regular Saturday Market vendors come out for a special Wednesday edition — produce, baked goods, crafts, and coffee.
BBQ lunch. Burgers, hot dogs, and the usual Canada Day suspects, available from 12 to 2 pm for a small charge.
Games & competitions. Family-friendly games starting at 1 pm. Expect the kind of Canada Day classics that work equally well for grandparents and five-year-olds.
Livestock displays. A few Island farmers bring animals out for kids (and adults) to see up close.
Face painting. Free, all day, for the young and young-at-heart.
The parade. The Fairgrounds gathering wraps at 2 pm, which gives everyone time to head into the village for Stella’s Canada Day parade and the fireworks to follow.
