The Amherst Island Agricultural Society (“AIAS,” “we,” or “us”) is a volunteer-run not-for-profit community organization. We respect your privacy and only collect what we need to run the website, our events, and our membership program. This policy explains what we collect on this website and how we use it.

What we collect on this website

Analytics.This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and understand how pages are used. Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect personally identifying information. Aggregate data such as page views, referrer, country, browser, and device type may be processed. See Vercel’s privacy practices at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Email. If you email us (for example to apply as a vendor, ask about a Pavilion rental, or contact the Board), we will use your message and contact details only to respond and to follow up on your request. We do not sell or share your contact information.

Server logs. Our hosting provider maintains standard server logs (IP address, request URL, timestamp, user agent) for security and reliability. Logs are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.

Cookies

This website does not set tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookies that may be set are those required for the site to function correctly.

Membership and event records

When you become a Society member or register for a Society event, we may collect your name, address, phone number, and email address. We use this information to administer membership, communicate about Society activities, and meet our record-keeping obligations under Ontario’s Agricultural and Horticultural Organizations Act and our bylaws. We do not sell, rent, or trade membership lists.

Your choices

You can request a copy of any personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to record-keeping obligations) by emailing a.i.ag.society@gmail.com.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
